Matthew Morfitt

PhD Student in Biomedical Sciences

Matthew is a final year PhD student studying the role of blood vessel endothelial cells in kidney cancer (clear cell renal cell carcinoma). Matthew graduated from the University of Hull with a BSc Honours in Human Biology (2016) and MSc in Translational Oncology (2017). Matthew's interests include primary human endothelial cell and kidney cancer biology, molecular mechanisms regulating calcitonin receptor-like receptor function in endothelial cells, development of humanised in vitro models of clear cell renal cell carcinoma and immunohistochemistry on tissue sections.

PROJECT:

Investigation of the role of calcitonin receptor-like receptor in endothelial cells in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
