Shalin Abraham

NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Oncology

Shalin is a visiting NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Medical Oncology from Leeds Cancer Centre and the University of Leeds. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Cambridge where she undertook an intercalated degree in physiology, development and neuroscience. Shalin has since worked as an academic foundation doctor in Leicester looking at difference in systemic anticancer treatment uptake and trials participation in minority ethnic groups, and as a an Academic Clinical Fellow in Leeds she has gained experience working in early phase clinical trials. Shalin's interests include cellular signaling in tumorigenesis, immuno-oncology, biomarker development for early cancer detection and early phase clinical trials.
